The Mothers of Invention

An action crime drama

Synopsis:

Joann Erikson, the widow of a cop who’s lost two loved ones to crime, fabricates a mysterious, organized war against perpetrators who get off the legal hook. Knowing that a killing without a motive is almost impossible to solve, she sets into motion a plan only a grieving mother could love and The Mothers of Invention society is born.

The action takes us across the United States as one-by-one the murderous crime kingpins, the drug dealers, and the street punks who have slipped through the loopholes in the law for capital crimes are all brought to a very unusual justice through a network of trained women who secretly mete it out. They come to New York from Los Angeles, from Waukegan to Houston, from Chicago’s suburbs to Baltimore.  They come with one purpose in mind: Revenge on unpunished murderers who roam the world free to murder again.

Joann ultimately must make decisions for her life if it is to continue in any way normally and if she’s to avoid the discovery that she’s the founder of The Mothers of Invention. She makes the tough decisions that made her the powerful character she is and, in the end, prevails in the war going on in her own life. She discovers that the “robes of judgment” prove to be heavy garments indeed and that final justice is best left to God.
